When I started in this industry back in 1997 I worried that web project management was worlds away from my chosen career, 3D design. 10 years on, umpteen projects and courses later I’ve realised it is still design but in today’s medium of choice. The challenges are just as compelling as furniture design as websites also have to meet tough standards and rules whilst still being usable, fun, functional and be appealing. Throw in cool technology, business strategy and marketing and you have me hooked.
As you can imagine, once I had discovered PM was for me, the relief was huge. Finally I could justify to my parents that 7 years design education was worth every penny (of theirs).
The best thing about what I do now is that I have a great team to do all the work for me, well, almost all.
